亲爱的师弟/师妹：

你好！

时光飞逝，又到一年毕业季，师兄师姐们即将离开学校，走向各自的征途。离别之前想和你们分享一些我这大学四年的收获与感悟。

珍惜时间，提早做好规划和准备。大一的时候还轻松懵懂，到大二时为专四所劳苦，大三大四会遇上慌乱与迷茫。在四年的时光里，如果没有一个好的规划，大家会时常忘记自己想要的是什么。如果你不珍惜好时间，则在没有什么成就感的时候，会为每一次不珍惜而烦恼，为自己的拖延症所懊悔。四年很快，如果得过且过，没有自己的目标，越到后面越会很累。

多去尝试，多做准备，多发现自己想要的。蔡康永说过一段很有名的话：“15岁觉得游泳难，放弃游泳，到18岁遇到一个你喜欢的人约你去游泳，你只好说我不会耶；人生前期越嫌麻烦，越懒得学，后来就越可能错过让你动心的人和事，错过新风景。”如果多错过，会怕来不及。请不要去嫌麻烦，现在的你什么时候开始都不迟，最怕的是你迈不开脚步，一直在拒绝你觉得烦但原本可以变得更好的机会。

不要心存侥幸，成功从来都不是侥幸。现如今很多人都很佛系，都把自己的努力加上网上转发的幸运来换一个通过。越努力越幸运是固然，但是只要你心存一丝侥幸，第一次通过尝到甜头了，你后面认真的态度就会改变，则第二第三次还会有侥幸的想法。如果其中一次没有得偿所愿，请好好发现自己的不足，再次做好充足的准备去迎接每一次考验。

多去看看学校外面的世界，发现更好的人和事。我们一进学校时其实和名校的学生差不了多少，但是中间的差距慢慢被拉大，中间是有其原因的。优秀的人会继续优秀，但我们的目标不是仅仅于本校，你要看到山外山，奔向更美好的远方。如果院里每个人的层次都拔高了，那么学院学校的层次也会拔高。虽然不能一蹴而就，但是这个意识是要有的，它会催促你前进，不会让你局限于你所认为的世界里。

无论结果怎样，请一定继续保持善良与热爱。如果考试考证都没有一帆风顺的话，请好好总结自己的不足，适当做出调整。无论是考研与工作，你会发现离社会越来越近，就越是要靠自己了。所以在融入社会前，请你练就独当一面的本领，不要忘记自己的初心，忠于国家忠于党，好好的体会生活的千姿百态，继续保持善良与热爱。

世间所有的相遇，都是久别重逢。一切，都将是最好的安排。所以，无畏出发吧，迎向所有走向你生命的美好。

Dear fellow students,

 

Time flies. It is graduation season again when the seniors like us are about to leave school and fight for their future. Before leaving, I would like to share some experience from the four-year college life and give some tips to you.  

Value your time and make good plans. Freshmen year is relaxing yet confusing, so you must adapt to the new life here very quickly. In the sophomore year, you have to prepare for the Test for English Majors-Band 4. Panic and confusion again will hit you in your junior and senior year. Without an overall plan for the four years, you will get lost and often forget where you are. Without valuing your time, you may blame yourself for how much time you have wasted and even regret over procrastination when getting nothing. Four years go by very fast. Suppose you just muddle along and have no clear goals, then, the more you live on, the more tired you will get later on.

Try more and discover more about what you want. There is a famous quote from Kevin Tsai, “At 15, you feel it hard to learn swimming and give it up. At 18, you are invited to go swimming by someone you love, you have to turn him or her down. The more troublesome you feel to learn something new at an early age, the lazier you will feel to learn, and the more likely you will miss the people and new things or scenery that fascinate you.” Once there are too many you have missed, it will be too late. Please don’t feel too lazy or troublesome to learn. It is not too late for you to start right now. The most terrible thing in life is that you don’t take the first step and keep rejecting opportunities which you feel annoyed at, but which could have made you better.

Success is never the result of luck or fate, so leave nothing to chance. A lot of college students today are very Buddha-like and content with only a gentleman’s C in exams. Sometimes, you may get lucky and pass your exams very easily. However, as long as you get a taste of good luck for the first time and start to rely on chance, your attitude will change and you will want more luck. If you fail in getting good results on one of the exams, reflect on yourself and find out your weaknesses and get well prepared for the following ones.

Go and see the world more and discover better people and things. When we entered GXUN, we were actually not much different from the students of other universities, but the gap between us gradually widens for some reasons unknown in the following years. Why? Because they simply try harder than us. Excellent people will continue to be excellent. As for us, our goal should not be limited to our school. There is always someone better than us. If everyone in our university tries a little harder, then all of us will be a lot better. Although it cannot be achieved overnight, this consciousness is necessary, which will urge you to move forward and will not confine you to the world of your own.

Whatever the outcome, please be sure to stay kind and enthusiastic. If your exam result is not satisfactory, please find out your shortcomings and make appropriate adjustments. Whether to take postgraduate entrance examination or to get a job, you will find that the sooner you are to enter society, the more you will need to rely on yourself. So before that, please learn the values of self-discipline. Do not forget your original intention, and stay loyal to your country, and to your people. Experience life in various forms, and continue to keep your kindness and passion.

All encounters in the world are reunion after a long separation. Everything will be the best arrangement. So go ahead and embrace all the goodness that comes your way.
